Batching rule for picking orders

There are a number of different ways in which warehouse workers pick up customers’ orders. Collecting just one order at a time is the easiest method, but when there are many small orders for picking, it is better to pick by article (pick-and-sort). The pickers in the warehouse can also pick several orders together in one route and sort them later (sort-while-pick). Hence, this process of combining several orders into one for convenient picking within the warehouse is called batching.

All pickup-only orders are combined, then divided into separate orders in accordance with customer requests.
